PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS!
Effective Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Virginia Gay Hospital healthcare will implement universal masking. This decision was made based on the recommendations of the CDC, and the Iowa Department of Public Health, as well as the availability of sufficient supply of appropriate masks. Masks may be removed when social distancing of at least 6 feet is possible.
You are greeted by a door screener who will ask a series of questions ss recommended by the CDC, and the Iowa Department of Public Health. The questions will include if you have a new cough OR shortness of breath/breathing difficulty, have had exposure to COVID-19 positive person OR if you are experiencing two of the following symptoms: fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.
We appreciate your support and cooperation as we continue to provide the best possible care and protection for both our patients and our staff in all the communities we serve.
