CT
- Computed Tomography (CT) uses computer-processed X-rays
- This produces tomographic images or ‘slices’ of specific areas of the body
- Digital geometry processing creates a 3D image of the inside of an object by combining 2D X-ray images taken from different angles
MRI
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses a large magnet and radio frequency
- Creates detailed images of the body’s internal structures
