My name is Hollie Coots. I work in the Business Office as an A/R Specialist. I have been employed at VGH since September 2024. As an A/R Specialist, I post payments from insurance companies and personal payments. What I love most about my job is the business office team. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. I am very impressed that everyone gets along well and works together toward solutions to problems. I chose a career in this field as I have a great attention to detail, and I enjoy data entry.
My husband Scott and I have been married for 23 years. We have three children together, Justin, Jade, and Josie, and a dog named Roofus. An experience that has had a lasting impact on me is recently, in 2024, losing my son, Justin, to a very rare kidney cancer. A cause that I am passionate about is RMC (Renal Medullary Carcinoma) Awareness and we are actively working on getting a bill passed in the state of Iowa for early detection in teenagers and young adults. One fun fact about me is that I have been skydiving. My favorite vacation spot is a tie between Florida and Prairie Du Chein, WI. My favorite foods are Mexican, Italian, and any kind of seafood. One thing I’ve always wanted to do was live in a houseboat. My favorite childhood memory is riding my bike. If someone were to describe me in three words, they would be fun, energetic, and adventurous.
