Employee Spotlight – Mike Reifenstahl – Director of Facilities
My name is Mike Reifenstahl. I am the Director of Facilities at Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics and I have been employed at VGH for 26 years. My job includes managing the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments as well as overseeing construction projects within the organization. The thing I love most about my job is the people I work with. My biggest contribution to the team is that I’ve been here for a long time and know the buildings well. I enjoy classic car restoration. My favorite vacation spot is Grand Cayman Island. My favorite food is King Crab Legs. I cannot live without my sons. One thing I have always wanted to learn how to do is upholstery. My favorite childhood memory is working in the shop with my dad. If someone were to describe me in three words, they would be funny, understanding, and experienced. One fun fact about me is that I was born here at VGH.
