EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT – P.J. FIX
My name is P.J. Fix. I work in environmental services and maintenance. I have been employed at VGH for five years. My job includes keeping the building/patient care areas/equipment/grounds presentable and in good working order to ensure quality patient care. The thing I love most about my job is getting to figure out solutions to problems with the building and equipment as well as fixing those problems.
I have two kids (twins), who are 11 years old. My son’s name is Zac and my daughter’s name is Kennedy. We have a dog named Kylie. One fun fact about me is that I have been to 13 countries all around the world and I lived in Okinawa for one year. My favorite vacation spot is Ontario, Canada. My favorite food are beef steaks. Something I have always wanted to learn is flint knapping. My favorite childhood memory is showing my cows in 4-H at the County Fair. A cause I am passionate about is starting young people in hunting and fishing and supporting them in their endeavors
. If someone were to describe me in three words they would be loyal, tough, and resilient. An experience that has had a lasting impact on me would be spending four years in the Marine Corp. as Active Duty.
