VGH Therapy is excited to introduce our new speech therapist! Monica is a dedicated speech pathologist with a passion for helping individuals of all ages achieve their swallowing and communication goals. She has experience working with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and articulation challenges as well as a variety of medical conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, and head and neck cancer.
Monica is committed to ongoing professional development and stays current with the latest research and techniques in the field. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
In addition to her clinical work, Monica is an advocate for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services in the community and is excited to serve Vinton and the surrounding area through workshops and training sessions for parents, educators, and healthcare professionals.
